No, you need to live in Bude or the surrounding area.
Do you offer Family Membership?
No, unfortunately BHRG don’t provide a Family Membership category.
Do I need to become a Parent/play member to play with my child/children?
Yes.
If I become a Parent/play member, can I play without my child/children?
No, if you become a parent member you will need to play with your child/children. If you are interested in playing at other times you would need an adult membership.
Can I join mid season?
It may be possible, if you are a local resident and are intending to join the following membership year. Please contact us at budetennisclub@gmail.com to discuss.
How can I pay my membership?
You can BACS it to the club account – TSB Bude Tennis Club - account number 00535463 sort code 30-91-41. Please put your full name as the reference. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque, payable to Bude Tennis Club, and post it in the slot to the left of the microwave.
When can we play?
The courts are owned and managed by BudeHaven Recreation Ground. We have the use of 4 courts from 4.00pm until 6.00pm each evening for junior play. We also have an enclosed junior court that is available at all times. Unfortunately, this court is prone to flooding and you should NOT play on this court if it is flooded as it can be dangerous. However, you can ask a member of the ground staff if you can use a main court instead.
Can I play during the day?
Yes, but only if you check that it is fine with the groundsmen or kiosk staff before you go onto the court and on every occasion. The club is not licensed to play during the day and therefore it is their decision. However, they are very accommodating and to our knowledge, permission has never been denied.
How can I get access to the courts out of hours?
Once you have paid your membership fee, parents of juniors can ask for a key to the courts - at the moment the cost is £5.50.
Can I play during the summer holidays?
Day-time court usage is restricted during the summer school holidays and we are asked to vacate the courts by 10.00am. We still have four courts reserved for junior use between 4.00pm and 6.00pm every day, including the school holidays and of course the enclosed junior court, is available as well.
How do I know what events are planned for the club?
Details of Club events are sent by email. All juniors and their parents are regularly invited and welcomed to our social events.
Can I park my car at the tennis courts?
There are spaces between the tennis courts and the Methodist Church. You can use these spaces for free when you are playing tennis or visiting the club for a social event. These spaces should NOT be used at any other time.
Can I organise some coaching?
Yes, we have a Level 4 tennis coach Inga Ziemina. You can contact Inga for more information on 07824 726838 0r IngasTennisSchool@gmail.com
