WELCOME TO THE NEW SEASON!
PLEASE KEEP THIS INFORMATION SHEET TO HAND AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CLUB.
THE NEW SEASON STARTS ON 1ST APRIL 2024
SUBSCRIPTIONS must be paid to the Treasurer by 14th April 2024
NEW MEMBERS
We welcome new members and trust members who have joined recently are enjoying playing. If you have any questions please feel free to ask a Committee member.
Anyone interested in joining the Club may play 3 times as a visitor at £5 per session. The cost of this will be deducted from the membership fee on joining. New members joining during the year will pay the full membership if they join up to half way through the year; after that there are staged reductions for the rest of the season.
Members and guests are requested to wear tennis/sports clothes with emphasis on shoes which MUST be flat with non-marking soles.
Please inform the Membership Secretary if you change any of your contact details during the season. Details of Club events are also sent by email and on the WhatsApp group.
If any club member has any suggestions for social events or general items for discussion please bring them to the attention of a member of the Committee.
CLUB NIGHTS
Four courts are available to adult members every evening from 6 p.m. Specific Club Nights are listed below. At other times the Groundsman must be consulted and usage is at his discretion. Court usage is restricted during the main school holidays. Keys to the Clubhouse and gates are available from the Treasurer. There is a charge of £2.00 per Social Session when the Floodlights are used. There is a charge of £2.00 per ½ hour when the floodlights are used outside of Club nights. This is on an honesty basis with payments recorded in the book in the club room and payments made to the Treasurer.

Wednesday Men's club night plus Men’s and Ladies Team Play 6pm
Thursday Morning Mixed club morning 9.30am
Thursday Evening Mixed club night – 1st Thu of month Hurlingham 6pm
Friday Fix a 4 night – organize your own games 6pm
Saturday Mixed club morning 9.30am
VISITORS
Visitors and holiday makers are welcome to play with the Club at a cost of £5 per session. The member introducing a visitor is responsible for payment of the fee and to ensure the correct clothing and footwear is worn. Guests may play a maximum of 3 times per season. Club members may play with a visitor outside Club time paying the appropriate fee to the Recreation Ground. If the office is not open at the time then the member must fill out the Visitors' Book (found in cupboard next to ball cupboard) and leave the correct fee in the provided envelopes, post in slot on worktop surface above and to right of ball cupboard.
COURT HIRE
If club members hire out tennis courts to the general public when the office is closed, please record the details of the court hire in the Visitors' Book (found in cupboard next to ball cupboard) and leave the money collected in the provided envelopes, post in slot on worktop surface above and to right of ball cupboard.
PLEASE NOTE
During the school summer holidays, if Club members want to play outside club hours they must pay the full fee, after 10am in the morning.
In any matters relating to court usage the Groundsman’s decision will always apply.
